THE TROUT AND GRAYLING WATERS OF THE UPPER RISLE: (Parcour Sedge Saint Martinoise)
Parcour Sedge Saint Martinoise (Club Sedge as the members call it) is a 5 km stretch of the upper Risle owned and managed by a small association of dedicated local fly fisherman. There are three separate stretches within the 5 kms, each holding a variety of different water.
As with all our recommended Normandy chalk stream fishing, Sedge Saint Martinoise practises no-kill, and their local strain of brown trout nutured carefully over many years has remained untainted by stocking policies - a rarity on club waters in France where their traditional 'take them out for the table' cultural heritage rules.
Many years ago, after an intensive study of the habitat and food chain, Grayling were introduced to these waters and now thrive in great numbers, co-existing happily alongside the indigenous brown trout.
CLUB FLY FISH NORMANDY is in the exclusive, priviliged position of being able to offer our clients access to CLUB SEDGE waters - a unique opportunity to share a Normandy treasure.
